In 1986, Philip Townend purchased the site of Wraysbury Little School and committed to delivering 25 homes at the heart of the local community. It was a bold decision - a significant financial commitment on a prominent site that would be visible to, and judged by, the entire community it sat within. What Townend delivered was a development that Wraysbury has recognised and respected for nearly four decades.

Developing 25 homes on a former school site demanded consistent quality across every single property - no variation, no shortcuts, and no margin for error on a site the whole community was watching. Coordinating multiple trades simultaneously while maintaining one standard from the first home to the last was the defining challenge of the project.
Completed in 1990, Old School Court delivered 25 homes that the local community recognised immediately as something built with genuine care. It established Townend Developments as one of Wraysbury's most trusted names - a reputation that has grown with every project since.
